The two-person team that outran bigger competitors

🔒 All case studies are anonymized: clients tell me things they'd never put on a website, and that's exactly how it should be. If we work together, your details get the same discretion.

The situation. Two founders with a good product and a backlog they were never going to finish. Every week went into grinding through development work, and the backlog got longer anyway. Competitors with far bigger teams were shipping faster than they could.

What I found. They didn’t need more people. A big share of their development process was repetitive work that a machine should have been doing, and the two of them were spending founder hours on things that didn’t need a founder.

What we did. We automated a serious chunk of their development process and rebuilt how work moves from idea to shipped feature. The goal was never more hours. It was making sure their hours went where only they could go: defining the product and taking care of their customers.

The result. They started moving faster than competitors several times their size. The impossible backlog stopped mattering, because instead of drowning in it they were shipping the things that counted, out of the weeds and back in front of their customers.
